Hi everyone,

I hope the first couple of sessions were helpful. You can still have a look at them here: Session One and Session Two.

This week's session is the start of our work on the query letter. We’ll be looking at what the components of the letter are and focusing on the biography and elevator pitch.

There will be an exercise about writing your bio and finding adjectives to describe your book.

Query Letter

A query letter, sometimes called a submission or pitch letter, is just the email you send alongside your writing sample and synopsis. It’s usually the first thing an agent or editor sees and is there to entice and intrigue them.
